Our club was formed in the Fall of 2008 by five friends who shared a common interest and a passion for motorcycles as well as sharing the same occupation. We are all former members of a now defunct law enforcement mc. Our continued desire for the brotherhood and camaraderie that was formed carried us through a tough period in our club's history. We emerged in 2010 as a stronger group and four of the original five decided to carry on as a new club with a fresh start and a new name: Iron Guns MC.
We are a 100% law enforcement motorcycle club...active or retired. We prefer American made bikes, but accept all cruiser style bikes. We hold honesty and integrity in the highest regard. We stand for honor, duty, loyalty, and respect. We are devoted to raising awareness for fallen officers and to support their families.
We are not a 1% club, we claim no territory, and we are respectful to all motorcycle clubs.
We are IRON GUNS MC.
Our Patch consists of several components, each one having a specific meaning:
The Colors: Black and White represents the traditional color of law enforcement vehicles. These original radio cars are a historic icon of American Law Enforcement.
The Cover: This represents a combination of an urban fedora and a western cowboy hat, both of which were commonly worn by law enforcement in the days past.
The Skull: A skull has historically represented the dead and those who have passed before us. In our depiction, the skull represents the legacy of the heroes of Law Enforcement who have set the standards of Courage, Commitment, and Brotherhood, which we have all dedicated ourselves to uphold.
The Bandana: This was widely worn by lawmen of the old west, much like a part of a uniform. These were the true men of Iron Guns.
The Gun: This is the classic revolver, an Iron Gun, used by traditional lawmen to do their job. Although more modern handguns have now replaced this weapon, it is still the symbolic tool of Law Enforcement. The flame in the barrel stands for the fire in our hearts and soul to courageously step into the heat of the battle.
The Star and Shield: These represent the shield of a city police officer or federal agent and the star of a sheriff or a state officer. All of whom have dedicated themselves to the Brotherhood of Iron Guns. The white circle behind the star and shield represents the law enforcement community, of which all Iron Gun MC members are a part of.
The Mourning Band: This is the traditional symbol of respect for a law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate price. As Iron Guns MC and law enforcement officers, we hold the memories of our fallen brothers and sisters with the deepest and most sincere respect and honor. May we NEVER FORGET!
